Day Summary
It's a full fun day of shopping, art, food, and more shopping. We'll have women entrepreneurs showcasing and selling their best wares, gifts, art, and edible goodies. We will also have food for purchase, and you can get a lunch ticket when you buy your event tickets.

Artists
Artist and Restored Creations

Restored Creations is the candle making social enterprise at our Center for Women & Children (CWC). Assisted by a staff team and High Impact volunteers, the candles and beautiful packaging are all handmade in-house by our women. The candles are a soy-blend and have no dyes or added colors, with all sale proceeds supporting the CWC. The process of making candles provides the women with a therapeutic outlet, while also empowering them to develop and practice transferable job skills. Each candle contains a personal, written testimony of restoration shared by a Restored Creations participant.

Shaunt’e Lewis is a multi-talented dynamo, artist and illustrator based in Indianapolis, IN. Her work can be seen around Indianapolis and surrounding areas in cafes and business including canvas art and murals. She can be found on social sites @shauntelewisart or www.shauntelewis.com

Sherry Long is a local designer, and printmaker. She focuses on two different styles of printmaking: relief printing, also known as linocut and screen printing. The printing process is unique because of the inherent quality that makes every print an original piece of art. She designs and hand-prints signed and numbered limited-edition prints on archival paper and metal signs, as well as, printing on clothing and other textiles. She finds inspiration in her love for animals, especially dogs and her passion for motorcycling. Her background is in graphic design which comes through in her style. Megan Mullenax Haas is a working artist and art teacher from West Virginia living in Indianapolis. She received her Master's in Painting from Indiana State University in 2009. Her latest series is based on a nonfiction book called "Cures, Signs, and Witchery" by Gerald C. Milnes that features her ancestors from Appalachia. Mullenax specializes in watercolor paintings and giclee prints illustrating folk cures and anecdotes from the research on German immigrant "warlocks" on the farm in the 1800's in Appalachia.

Taylor Walker is a Fine Artist and Illustrator specializing in Pet & Family Portraits, Children's Art, Greeting Cards, Encaustics, Home Illustrations and Welcome Boards. The hallmark of Taylor's work is detail; from drawing every little whisker in a cat's face, to hand embellishing her greeting cards with glitter and burnt edges, no detail is missed! Taylor is also a huge animal lover with 5 kitties and prides herself on giving back to the community by partnering with local animal shelters during their annual fundraisers; that being said, although she loves creating all things, she'd say pet portraits are her favorite to create.
